Can Art Still Be Relevant In These Days

Can Art Still Be Relevant In These Days

Exploring the eternal duality between the physical and the digital, Ron Arad’s iconic 2014 exhibition ‘In Reverse’ defied convention. Presenting impressive «Pressed Flower» sculptures of compressed Fiat 500s, he reversed the order of things, transforming the functional into the useless. Continuing this vision in 2022, Ron Arad launched his ‘Reverse Again’ digital collection, teaming up with Shifting Vision to unveil ‘Slow Outburst’, a digital exploration of car body compression. The series was featured in Wallpaper magazine*, reinforcing its iconic status in the art world. The question «Can art still be relevant today?» has its origins in this foundation, in which Ron Arad evokes the extreme and tragic upheavals that took place in Ukraine in the spring of 2022, events that unfortunately continue to this day. A poignant creation that resonates with the very essence of our times.
